Hand In Hand
Hand in Hand is a non-profit dedicated to supporting children and families in crisis. They provide a 72-hour emergency shelter service called “Safe Place” for children ages 0-17 initially entering the foster care system. Safe Place also allows families time to access resources needed for their children to return home. Hand in Hand has additional Foster Support Services for foster youth including a Resource Closet (clothing, shoes, personal hygiene items) and a space for Parent-Child Visitation.
Additionally, Hand in Hand works one-on-one with families to connect to them various resources in their community. These outreach programs include access to clothing, emergency food boxes, assistance in paying bills, academic support groups, and soccer programs for youth.
