Opportunities
YouthCare provides various services to help young people experiencing homelessness achieve long-term stability. They offer:
- Housing: Emergency Shelter, Community Living, and Independent Living programs
- Engagement centers : Warm meals, showers, activities, case management, medical and mental health care, art programs, housing
- Early Intervention & Specialized Services programs to support young people at risk of homelessness (youth of color, youth who identify as LGBTQ+, youth who have been sexually exploited, and youth who have experienced the juvenile detention or child welfare system)
- Employment: programs to build skills and confidence to explore a career and gain long-term employment
- Education: High school completion and GED programs, bilingual instruction, college credit, tutoring, post-secondary support
- Medical Care: Physical and mental health services through Orion Center and South Seattle Shelter
